Chicago – Little Italy Edition
After scaring the bejeezus out of ourselves at the 110 story tall sears tower we ventured over to little Italy for authentic Italian food.
I was not all that impressed by the actual neighborhood as I compared it to Boston and NYC’s Little Italy’s. It was just a regular old neighborhood with a few italian restaurants. We looked at a few menus and decided on Rosebud because they had a great sidewalk eating area.
It was an awkward time between lunch and dinner so we decided to just order a few appetizers and drinks.
Who can resist crusty Italian bread with olive oil and herbs for dipping?
Spicy calamari – love the wrapped lemons.
Somehow my photo of the mussels was erased
So imagine a gigantic bowl of mussels please! I used to not like mussels (I think they grossed me out) but now I love them!
The inside of the restaurant is classic nostalgic Italian…can’t you just picture many mafia meetings going down in here? haha!
