Grilled Pizza

A while back I heard that you could GRILL a pizza and have forever wanted to try my hand at this. A trip to trader joe’s and spotting of 99 cent pizza dough, $5.00 fresh mozzarella and a garden full of basil and we were in business. Of course the night I just HAD to have this it was raining so we had to drag the BBQ under the carport (classy).

a few key ingredients

The SC promptly got to work making some homemade tomato sauce (this was on the those moments where I wanted desperately to intervene but it turned out amazing in the end)

The recipe I found online said to use a pizza stone on the grill but seeing as we don’t have one we just rubbed the grill with some olive oil and placed the dough right on and had no problem flipping it over after about 2 minutes.

Put on the toppings, close the lid and let the magic begin.

So delicious we almost ate the whole thing!

Get in my belly!!!!

I loved making this on the grill and thought it was much better than baking in the oven. I highly recommend you give it a try!
